I hope that everyone has had a wonderful new start to 2009! I wanted to drop a quick update to everyone on -Nicaragua and some of my lil' adventures back here in the states.
Once again coming back from Nicaragua.. I felt the salt air invite me back home to the Outer Banks, NC. Along with the warm smiles of faces that embraced me and gave me the peace of God, and love of a feeling of safety and real "amistad". I have found myself enjoying my time daily resting in the knowing that God had placed me here for a rest and rebuilding of passion for Nicaragua and a rekindling to be used daily in my own backyard where he would lead. Everyday has been a special little journey of faith as I meet with old friends, and make some amazing new friends, I know this season..is in God's arms and the time is unfolding in a clock not turned by my own two hands. I am plugging away working at Local Outer Banks coffee shop Front Porch Cafe and working on a few Nicaragua Art Mission fundraisers as well as participating in some local charity functions. I am believing to be going back to Nicaragua for a short period some time in April and will see how God aranges these next few chapters in Nicaragua. I have been in contact with some of the Nicaraguan families for updates and feel extremely blessed to hear that the lil' art/jewelery store "Mama Ruth's" is excelling and growing. Even though I am not there with my Nica families and lil' kids...my hearts and prayers...along with soo many of yours are being answered. I will post some updates soon and as of now I am still raising funds through the selling of my art prints via www.nicaraguaartmissions.blogspot.com and www.dawnreddawn.blogspot.com to make it back to Nicaragua and continue with IAM.
I love you all and thanks so much for all the encouragment and love that so many of you are great at sending my way. I pray this year has provisions of peace and love to you all!
